‘I am not an angel’ necklace | Charlotte Brontë

“'I am not an angel,’ I asserted; ‘and I will not be one till I die: I will be myself. Mr. Rochester, you must neither expect nor exact anything celestial of me - for you will not get it, any more than I shall get it of you: which I do not at all anticipate.’” Jane Eyre, Charlotte Brontë

Jane Eyre's words are etched in pale blue glow-in-the-dark pigment on a pendant necklace finished with a sky blue star. (If you would prefer a bronze star please let me know in the gift message space.)

£2 goes to the Brontë Society to support their learning programme.

Care instructions

Acrylic can break if dropped and will snap under pressure. Please store your jewellery in its box and keep away from lotions and sprays as moisture can discolour metal parts.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping is free on orders over £40 in the UK, and on orders over $75 to US customers.

Otherwise, postage is charged at a flat rate of £2.95 for Royal Mail Tracked-48 on UK orders and $15 Royal Mail International Tracked to the US.

I aim to send out orders within 2-3 days, but at busy time this may take a little longer, as some designs are made to order.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase you can return it to Wear and Resist in its original box and packaging within a month of purchase for a refund excluding postage. For reasons of hygiene I am afraid I cannot refund earrings.

About Wear and Resist

Wear and Resist was founded by Sarah Day in early 2017 as a way to channel her frustration and rage at the political climate into a creative pursuit that would raise money for women's charities. Her daughter, Eliza, is her inspiration, model and chain maker. Sarah designs and makes everything in her Oxfordshire studio, with a proportion of sales going to these charities.
