This phrase has been used as an insult by those intimidated by the power of our voices, because women of a certain age are in a position to speak out against injustices and are fighting to sort out the mess we are in. Wear it as a badge of honour.

Be more Lady Hale! My third piece from Wear and Resist. I don't usually 'do' brooches, but love this one. Good secure pin, light enough to wear on any fabric, and a fantastic tribute to Lady Hale. Currently sparkling on a vintage green velvet blazer :) Highly recommended.

Wear and Resist is a culmination of my love of text and art. As a writer with an MFA in painting, I have always loved making and writing. I have also always loved bold, colourful jewellery, precious but inexpensive. The best part is I get to make what I want to wear!

The communication and customer service from Sarah was exceptional. This really means alot to me, and I appreciate it even more so coming from small businesses, as they are usually a one man band (or in this case woman!). So it means alot to me that she took the time to reply to enquires and messages when she has every other aspect of her business to oversee. I know people who run small businesses, so I know it’s not easy trying to juggle everything!
