6 reviews

Own your bookishness with a Bookish necklace. It also makes a great gift for that writer or book lover in your life.

Also available as a brooch.

£2 goes to Women for Refugee Women.

Details & dimensions

The word Bookish measures 8cm. (3in.) across. It is cut from 3mm. acrylic and comes on a choice of chain. All chains are adjustable to three lengths.

Care instructions

Acrylic can break if dropped and will snap under pressure. Please store your jewellery in its box and keep away from lotions and sprays as moisture can discolour metal parts.

Shipping & Returns

Shipping is free on orders over £40 in the UK, and on orders over $75 to US customers.

Otherwise, postage is charged at a flat rate of £2.95 for Royal Mail Tracked-48 on UK orders and $15 Royal Mail International Tracked to the US.

I aim to send out orders within 2-3 days, but at busy time this may take a little longer, as some designs are made to order.

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase you can return it to Wear and Resist in its original box and packaging within a month of purchase for a refund excluding postage. For reasons of hygiene I am afraid I cannot refund earrings.

Very happy to review

I’m delighted with the Bookish necklace I ordered. It’s a gift for my niece’s birthday, she’s a really cool girl and I think she’ll love this piece that Sarah has made for her. Thank you

Perfect gift

My daughter ( who works in publishing) requested this as her Christmas present. The necklace is lovely & I think she will be very pleased with it. I worked in woman’s health for many years so I am delighted Sarah is supporting womens charities

This one was for me. I gave one to a friend and it was a very successful gift. She loves it!

About Wear and Resist

Wear and Resist was founded by Sarah Day in early 2017 as a way to channel her frustration and rage at the political climate into a creative pursuit that would raise money for women's charities. Her daughter, Eliza, is her inspiration, model and chain maker. Sarah designs and makes everything in her Oxfordshire studio, with a proportion of sales going to these charities.
