When a customer suggest I make a Chopsy necklace for Welsh Women's Aid in honour of Siân James referring to herself as a Chopsy Woman at their 40th anniversay, I jumped on the chance! I've been looking for a Welsh feminist word, (ffeministaidd is too long to work on a necklace unfortunately) and WWA are an incredible charity.
And although these necklaces are fun and in good humour, the work that WWA are doing in Wales was highlighted when I googled 'chopsy' and found an article from February 2021 about a man who 'beat up wife because she was chopsy.' Women are still being hit for speaking their minds, so let's celebrate our right to disagree, argue, debate and express ourselves, and keep fighting so that all women can enjoy this level of freedom.

£2 from every Chopsy item goes to Welsh Women’s Aid – a feminist charity challenging violence against women and misogyny across Wales.

I had been looking at getting this necklace for a while, seeing all that is happening with women's rights. It's such a unique and creative design, like wearing art, as well as making a statement.
These look even better than the photos. So sparkly and beautifully different. Comfortable to wear too.
I have received mine. It has a great place in my Westminster office. Its important to register Women's involvement in politics, and this is delightful. Highly recommended.
My third piece from Wear and Resist - check out the sweary necklaces! I don't usually 'do' brooches, but love this one. Good secure pin, light enough to wear on any fabric, and a fantastic tribute to Lady Hale. Currently sparkling on a vintage green velvet blazer :) Highly recommended.

I love this and it a talking point. It's an excellent way to start a discussion about how women should not feel about the male violence perpetrated against them. Gisele Pelicot is indeed a hero of our times.
I wanted some blue jewellery for a special occasion and whilst I could have popped into town and got something from one of the high street retailers, I really wanted what I wore to hold meaning for me. I adore Wear and Resist, and Sarah's ethos and values in the brand. These lightning bolt earrings are beautiful - I wore them with the matching pendant - and I felt empowered and calm wearing them.
