This first week of the Summer Festival of Delights✨ includes The Courage Collection, which I originally came up with a few years ago when the RNLI was being attacked for rescuing people from the Channel. I wanted to pay homage to the courage it takes to come to a new country and start a new life. Not only do Women for Refugee Women provide practical and legal support, they engage the women they help with creative classes, helping them to find their own voices, and to tell their own stories.I've been to several of their events where they performed their own poems songs and stories, and it was extremely powerful and moving. If only the media covered the reasons for refugees having to leave their lives and come here to begin again and the strength it takes to do that.

Little clouds of joy. Possibly my favourite piece of jewellery. I’ve had my eye on it for a long time but in times of needing a boost we all should have a good impulse purchase. And I’m so glad I bought this bracelet. I wear it all the time. And for me it’s so lovely waking up in the night when my brain is being over active and seeing the words “this too shall pass” glowing away at me through the dark.
