I first designed this Imbolc wall hanging for my father-in-law whose birthday is the 3rd of February, and who was both turning 80 and moving to a new home after half a century.
Imbolc - also called St Brigid’s day is a festival that dates to the pre-Christian era in Britain and celebrates the first signs of Spring. I used my original drawings of snowdrops that I made into the snowdrop earrings for the design.
Hopefully it will be the first in a series of Gaelic inspired wall hangings! Each one will be made to order so please allow a little extra time for delivery.
It measures just under 12cm. (41/2in.) in diameter and is cut from 3mm hard acrylic and glued to a backing layer of the same acrylic.

I aim to send out all orders as soon as possible, usually within a couple days of receiving them. Special orders and bespoke designs can take up to a week longer, and with such a big range of products, some designs are made to order so can't be sent next day. Please allow two days from ordering to posting even if you choose Tracked 24 or Special Delivery.
If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase you can return it to Wear and Resist in its original box and packaging within a month of purchase for a full refund or exchange. For reasons of hygiene I am afraid I cannot refund earrings.

Acrylic can break if dropped and will snap under pressure. Please store your jewellery in its box and keep away from lotions and sprays as moisture can discolour metal chains.

Wear and Resist was launched by me, Sarah Day, in early 2017 as a way to channel my frustration at the political climate into a creative pursuit that would raise money for women's charities. It has grown word by word, but it's still just me, with a little help from Eliza, my daughter, model and muse. We currently support five main charities.

Look if your on the fence about these earrings then get off it and just buy them. I deliberated for absolute ages, I didn’t need to. They are such a great colour, fantastic size but not too big, I’m petite and thought they might overwhelm me….they don’t. But most of all the are so light in your ear you wouldn’t even know your wearing them. No pulling on the flappy earlobes for me. So go ahead, try them, you won’t regret it. I’m gonna get a silver set next, after that, who knows!!! X
