The way it works: You pay online and the card is emailed to *your* email address. (There are no real cards, only available by email.) You then send it on with any message of your choice to your friend/family member. Any money that is left over from their purchase stays on the 'card' and they can use the same code again for that amount of their next purchase. 

(So if you spend £30 on a card and they buy earrings for £20 they can use the code again to get £10 off next order.)
